Tiny Township residents will have an opportunity to question candidates in the Oct. 25 election at an all candidates meeting Thursday, Sept. 16.
The meeting –sponsored by AWARE Tiny –will be at 7 p.m. in Stott Hall at the back of the United Church in Wyevale.
“It will be an opportunity for the residents to provide questions and assess the candidates,” says Letty McNeil, AWARE cofounder.
“In our fight to stop Site 41 we had the opportunity to witness our municipal and Simcoe governments in action. We were shocked and dismayed that many decisions were being made without regard for the water, the land, the environment, tax dollars or our communities.
“AWARE was created with the intent of informing citizens that we can no longer afford to be complacent about our municipal politicians and governments whose job it is to safeguard our water, land, environment, tax dollars and community.
“As residents of Tiny Township must do our utmost to become knowledgeable about the candidates and then make the important decisions on Election Day,” she added.
