TINY TOWNSHIP – Peggy Breckenridge is asking Tiny Township voters to reward her with four more years as mayor.
Breckenridge announced her intention last week to seek another term in the Oct. 25 municipal election.
“I’m proud of the successes we’ve had during this term,” she stated in a press release, listing beach management, water quality and fiscal responsibility as three of council’s achievements under her leadership.
As well, Breckenridge said, she helped support Simcoe County council’s decision to halt the Site 41 landfill proposal earlier this year.
Breckenridge is a graduate of Midland Secondary School with a degree in science from the University of Guelph.
She taught high school for 10 years before going into the business world, working in sales, marketing and senior management before starting her own marketing consulting firm.
Other declared candidates for the position of mayor include Peter Davenport and Ray Millar.
