Kramp running for Deputy Mayor in Midland

MIDLAND – Coun. Stephan Kramp is hoping Midland voters will give him a promotion in the next municipal election.
Kramp announced Saturday that he is running for the position of deputy mayor in the Oct. 25 vote. The position is currently held by Ruth Hackney.
A teacher at Midland Secondary School, Kramp was first elected to council in 2006.
He noted some of his priorities will include restoring heavy-garbage pickup and boosting voter turnout among all age groups.
