Simcoe.com July 16 2010 BARRIE – Current Ward 4 Coun. Barry Ward wants to keep his job.
“I love the city of Barrie,” said Ward in a media release after filing re-election papers. “I really enjoy representing the residents of Ward 4 and I want to be part of some crucial decision-making over the next four years.”
The freelance writer was first elected to represent the north-end ward at council in 2000.
“I’m proud of the fact the property tax increase this year was only one per cent at the end of the day,” he added. “We need to continue this trend.”
