VICTORIA HARBOUR – Re: “Still not buying county’s Site 41 position,” The Mirror, April 15.
The stepping down of Tony Guergis has made no difference in some Simcoe County councillors’ decisions. It seems they feel asking the Ontario government to rescind the certificate of approval for Site 41 is like admitting they made an error in accepting the Modflow findings as provided by Jagger Hims.
The McGuinty Liberals are resisting rescinding the certificate for much the same reason.
What are they hiding?
Or is it simply a case that none of them were able to analyze it correctly themselves and what is bought and paid for (with taxpayers’ money) must be right.
C’mon, guys. Let’s wrap it up. Give us the Modflow. Is saving face more important than saving the planet?
Election time draws near. Have a good listen to the intelligence of your candidates. Have a good look at both sides of their faces while you’re at it.
Go to the debates. Ask questions. Above all, vote. If you don’t, then don’t complain down the road about the person you helped vote in.
