IJC Commissioners urged to overrule ‘do-nothing” study on St. Clair River

Georgian Bay Forever is raising the alarm about unexpected increases to the outflow of Lake Huron into the st. Clair River. The implications of a continuing drain from Lake Huron on the lake, its wetlands and islands, its native species and recreational facilities are ominous. Georgian Bay Forever is urging citizens to attend consultation meetings being held by the International Joint Commission (locally, there is a meeting tomorrow March 22 at 7 p.m. at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre, Community Hall A, 527 Len Self Boulevard, Midland.)
