From Nicholas Rolfe, Environmental Defence
There’s a crucial meeting of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority Board coming up this Friday, where they will decide whether to grant a permit to cut trees on the site.
Environmental Defence and the Innisfil District Association will be making a deputation to the LSRCA Board, but Geranium, the developer behind Big Bay Point, and the Town of Innisfil will both be there with expensive lawyers arguing in favour of the project. The outcome will be quite significant in the ultimate resolution of the Big Bay Point struggle. Let the Conservation Authority know the public is watching as it decides whether to give a permit for tree cutting at Big Bay Point
